The floorplan of the 2nd Floor Bedrooms & Bathrooms is essentially unchanged with only minor modifications. The southwest bedroom entry was moved next to the stairs. The northeast bedroom lost a couple of feet to add a second full bathroom on the second floor. That bedroom also gained a private entry to the adjoining bathroom.
The massive shower had the full window brought back that was blocked out, by using privacy glass with a sealed waterproof window along with a high canopy transom. All the bathrooms have in-floor heating under the tile and even under the shower pan. The corner vanity in the WC is of particular note. Made from floorboards from the landing and built on site and executed with meticulous craftsmanship to fit the style and shape of the sink and solve a space problem.
The massive double hung windows on the Hudson side are inoperable because of the weight of a double pane vs. the original single pane. For energy reasons the original leaded glass transoms had to be abandoned. The rest of the second floor bedroom windows are egress operable because they are slightly smaller and use titanium springs in the sash replacement. All the bedrooms are fitted with Van Erp style mica ceiling lights.
